CLC works to develop paid and unpaid internships that are both beneficial to our agency as well as to the individuals who are fulfilling these roles. Opportunities include: business operations, communications, design, grant writing and research, international studies, journalism, non-profit administration, and event planning.
Tutoring helps improve reading, writing, math or English skills.
MARVEL*US is an Out-of-School Time Academic Enrichment program. After school sessions and Summer Camp offer children, ages 7-13, the opportunity for academic enrichment, fun activities, and field trips. MARVEL*US is sponsored by Franklin County Commissioners and administered by FCDJFS.
Homework assistance is offered to CLC program participants to increase understanding and success on schoolwork.
CLC provides certain program participants with the opportunity for work experience, including job shadowing. Work experience can help one decide on future career explorations and is favorable to employers.
Career coaching helps individuals further their career by creating professional goals, developing steps to meet those goals, and working through career decisions.
Effective, evidence-based life skills programs for every age, from pre-K through adult. CLC life skills workshops are perfect supplements to CLC Programming options and provide impactful and meaningful community-based learning opportunities from time management to car maintenance to public speaking.
Life and wellness coaching looks at personal projects and goals, and works through goal setting, obstacles or challenges, supports, and courses of action to help an individual create the life they want.
CLC offers many opportunities for learning about culture awareness. Cultural Awareness is the ability of looking beyond oneself to be aware of other cultural values, beliefs and perceptions.
